My name is
Kate Hurwitz
and I have been in the personal training business for ten years. I started
Better Body Health and Fitness
to provide people with the best possible training!
My certifications include NASM, ACE, STOTS Pilates, ISCA Boxing, Pre/Post Natal, TRX certified and Reebok Stretch. As well I have earned my CPR and AED through the American Red Cross. I specialize in weight loss/gain, weight management, toning, strengthening, postural alignment, and conditioning. As well I am a certified Health Counselor specializing in nutrition, wellness and being a supportive coach. I help my clients with some of their main concerns like food cravings, sleep, energy and digestion. I help them develop a deeper understanding of foods and make lifestyle choices that work best for them which impart helps improve their health and energy levels. Instead of prescribing one diet or one way of exercising, I create recommendations to fit each person.
Why did I become a personal trainer and health counselor? I personally struggled with my weight during my teens and early twenties. It consumed my life and I spent more time doing the wrong things to attain what I thought was the body I wanted. Whatever your goals might be I personally can help you achieve what it is you are looking for through proper weight training, cardio and nutrition. That is why I love what I do and am passionate about helping others!

TIP OF THE WEEK: There is no such thing as spot reduction! If you are trying to get rid of fat or tone a certain area (hips,triceps,stomach,etc..) you need to follow a certain routine, do cardio, and eat right! As Health Counselors, we have studied all the major dietary theories and will help you discover what approach works best for you at this point in your life.
While most dieticians dwell on calories, carbs, fats, proteins, restrictions and lists of good and bad foods, we work with our clients to create a happy, healthy life in a way that is stress free, fun and free of denial and discipline.
No one diet works for everyone. We will guide you to find the food and lifestyle choices that best support you. We will also help you to make gradual, lifelong changes that enable you to reach your current and future health goals.
All you have to do is call to schedule a free consultation with us. If you decide to work with us your program will include:
- Two one hour sessions per month
- Email support between sessions
- Cleaning out your cabinets
- Learning how to food shop
- How to prepare your foods for the week
Your personalized nutrition program will radically improve your health and happiness. Together, we will explore concerns specific to you and your body and apply the tools you need for a lifetime of balance.
